III.6.5 Brief History

The basic equations for radiosity were presented by Kuttruff in 1971 [1], and the principle was used, for example, by Lewers in 1993 in a hybrid model [2]. A more accurate description of the acoustic radiosity was presented by Nosal et la in 2004 [3]. The acoustic radiance transfer was presented in 2007 by Siltanen et al. [4]. A frequency-domain formulation of the same principle was presented in 2009 [5], and further developed by Antani et al. in 2012 [6].
